“The Dozens” is a an example of giraffe culture – how to embrace jackals in a playful manner.
A taste of “Yo Mama’s”:
Your mama’s feet are so big, her sneakers have to have licence plates on.
Your mama’s so fat, when she went bungy jumping she went straight to hell.
Your mama got one arm, she swims in a circle.
Your mama got one ear and a burnt potato chip.
Your mama’s so black, she can spit chocolate milk.
Your mama’s so fat, she looks like she’s smuggling a Volkswagen.
The Dozens is a game played between two contestants in which the participants insult each other until one of them gives up. Common in African American communities, the Dozens is almost exclusively played in front of an audience, who encourage the participants to reply with increasingly severe insults in order to heighten the tension and consequently make the contest more interesting to watch.
